Haimney Multidisciplinary Art Gallery is proud to present David Carson's collages exposition, presented by David himself and in person. This is one of the single largest exhibit of David Carson's work to date. Haimney's entire gallery of three floors and 360 square metres will be dedicated to a full immersion of his creativity. He is best known for his innovative magazine design, and use of experimental typography. He was the art director for the magazine Ray Gun, in which he employed much of the typographic and layout approach for which he is known. In particular, his widely imitated aesthetic defined the so-called "grunge typography" era. David Carson has won over 230 Awards for his work in graphic design, photography, advertising and branding. Some of these awards include: Best Overall Design, Society of Publication Designers in New York. Cover of the Year, Society of Publication Designers in New York. Award of Best Use of Photography in Graphic Design, International Center of Photography Designer of the Year (1998 and 1999), International Center of Photography Master of Typography, Graphis magazine (NY) The most famous graphic designer on the planet, April 2004 – London Creative Review magazine (London) One of the 30 most influential Macintosh users over the 30-year history of the computer – only two graphic designers were selected, Carson and April Greiman. Haimney will be presenting a 7 hour full sensory experience inclusive of David's work, music, gastronomy, brand collaborations and more surprises. There are two ticket options available: Standard Entry Pass - This is will give you entrance to the event. Pass plus David Carson's latest book - David has created a 300 page book of his collages, which is being printed as a limited edition offering. David will also personally sign your book.
