About the Speakers:
Charlie Cutler - President, ChurchWest InsuranceMr. Cutler has spent the past 15 years shaping ChurchWest into a nationally recognized leader in the community that serves faith based organizations. His approach is simple…understand ministries, analyze the risk, provide all of the resources that we possibly can, prevent claims without preventing ministry, and find the best insurance value for the church. He uses his relationships with ministry leaders across California, Arizona, and Nevada to help ministries connect and share best practices.
Robert Brockman - Daley & Heft, LLPMr. Brockman focuses his practice on the areas of personal injury, employment, elder abuse, and business disputes. He has extensive experience in representing religious institutions, public entities, non-profit, as well as for-profit institutions and nursing homes in all phases of litigation. Over twenty-five years, Mr. Brockman has successfully tried a wide variety of cases in the federal and state courts.
Mr. Brockman has lectured extensively on topics including risk management for religious entities, public entity defense, tort claims, employment, and elder abuse issues for insurance groups, risk managers and attorneys. Mr. Brockman is also a member of the San Diego County Bar Association.
Leslie Demattia - DeMattia ConsultingMs. DeMattia has extensive experience in the Human Resources, law enforcement, and civilian security fields. She has devoted her experience to churches in the hopes of furthering the kingdom through training ministry leaders to better support the infrastructure of churches so they, too, can further the kingdom. Ms. DeMattia has spent the past 15 years in operations, including all aspects of human resources, and has dealt extensively with the non-profit & for-profit industries.
Ms. DeMattia has lectured frequently on “Sexual Harassment in the Workplace,” “Hiring for HR,” “Best Practices,” “Consistent Leadership,” “All Hazard Response,” “Performance Management,” “Wage and Hour Law,” and “Crisis Management,” and “Violence Workplace Prevention.”
