The Indiana State University Department of Theater presents: I AND YOU by Lauren Gunderson Directed by Julie Dixon September 29 - October 2, 2022 Thursday-Saturday at 7:30 PM; Sunday at 3:00 PM ━━━━━━━━━━━━ ABOUT THE PLAY: One afternoon, Anthony arrives unexpectedly at classmate Caroline's door bearing a beat-up copy of Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass, an urgent assignment from their English teacher. Homebound due to illness, Caroline hasn't been to school in months, but she is as quick and sardonic as Anthony is athletic, sensitive, and popular. As these two let down their guards and share their secrets, this seemingly mundane poetry project unlocks a much deeper mystery that has brought them together. I and You is an ode to youth, life, love, and the strange beauty of human connectedness. Content Disclosure: This play contains sensitive subject matter including chronic illness, medical procedures, mortality, and adult language. LOCATION: The performance will take place at the New Theater, located at 536 N. 7th Street Terre Haute, IN 47809, on the Indiana State University Campus. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The lobby is open one hour prior to curtain; the house opens thirty minutes prior to curtain.
