Join us at the Carlton Club for an evocative evening of music that explores the connection between humanity and nature, touching on themes of loss, hope, and the passage of time. We’ll be celebrating the release of Hazel’s EP Inherit the Earth, a record deeply influenced by the climate and biodiversity crises of our time, with tracks that range from existential dread to reflections on mortality. Perfect for a cheery Thursday, right?
Hazel's music draws inspiration from artists like Katherine Priddy, Sam Lee, and Bedouine. For the first time, she’ll be performing with a five-piece band, featuring guitarist Conall Ginley, pianist Chris Rundell, and her siblings Bennie and Robin Watson on vocals and strings. Supporting acts include the reflective, Nick Drake-esque Oliver Louis and the witchy and wonderful Heidi Dewhirst.
Doors open at 19:00, with the first act starting at 19:30. Ticket prices are on a sliding scale: £10 for standard admission, £6 for those on a low income or unemployed, and £14 for those able to contribute a bit more to support the lower-priced tickets.
