Women Connect returns after a 2 year hiatus from in-person events to celebrate International Women’s Day 2022 on Tuesday 8th March 2022 at Live Nation London HQ’s brand new event space.
The evening will begin with the screening of a short documentary film which Women Connect proudly commissioned for the 2021 Dumfries Music Conference. The conversation comes as a response to the remarkable story told by Filmmaker, Lisa Rovner, in her film “Sisters with Transistors”. It covers the lives of electronic music's female pioneers, composers who embraced machines and their liberating technologies to transform how we produce and listen to music today.
The evening boasts to be packed full with networking opportunities, a giveaway to win some money-can’t-buy prizes, free food and drinks and to learn about brands and mentors out there, able to provide advice on working within the vast music industry. There will also be a live artist performance by Manny Alexandra and, of course, the chance to mingle with fellow creative professionals.
Our networking section will include representatives from and stalls by MeloCompass, Young Music Boss, Peak Music, We Are The Unheard and CTRL SHFT.
Women Connect are presenting an entirely necessary conversation amongst women and non-binary people and how we got here, and how we continue to smash glass ceilings within the music industry.
*Allyship is welcomed. This is an inclusive event.
