Have you suffered a bereavement? Grieved for something or someone you've lost? Felt like your world was pulled out from under your feet?
Whether or not you can answer yes or no, in our minds, it's time to party!
Grief is a lonely and isolating experience despite being encountered by everyone at some point in their lives, and so It's Okay You Can Laugh is an art exhibition seeking to celebrate grief, bereavement, and the loss that losing someone and something brings to our lives, rather than encountering the distressing portrayal of grief and bereavement often seen.
On the 22nd May in three two-hour time slots, It's Okay, You Can Laugh will feature ten talented artists from all over the UK bring their depiction of grief to life through media forms such as video, interactive exhibits and mixed media pieces. This exhibition will also feature a DJ playing disco music, a bar to keep the drinks flowing and some brilliant artwork to check out. Now is the time to celebrate grief- and make sure you know that it's okay, you can laugh!
All COVID restrictions at the date of the exhibition will be followed.
20% of proceeds will be donated to The Good Grief Trust.
