Following the release of their single 'Down', they completed their first UK tour in November 2017, and in 2018 they were selected to represent the UK as part of EXCITE Music.Previously performing under the moniker “Five Cousins”, Freakwave built up a considerable following in Glasgow, this much was made clear when their maiden display as Freakwave at Celtic Connections sold out in January. Caitlin Buchanan, who describes her music as a cross between Angel Olsen, Laura Marling and Kate Bush. Wielding a classical guitar and a hypnotically beautiful voice.
