Kir Stefan the Serb Choir wishes you a warm welcome to the concert!
Under the baton and artistic direction of conductor Jasmina Vučurović, the concert will include both sacred and traditional music.
The works of XIX and XX Century Serbian and Russian composers, presented in the first half of the concert, are sung a cappella. Human voice is the best, most refined of all musical instruments. We hope you will enjoy the unique beauty of the polyphony of orthodox sacred and secular music.
Second half of the program presents original harmonies and rhythms of Serbian folk melodies. The cultural diversity is represented in traditional music of its peoples. This concert is dedicated to the music and rhythms of multi-ethnic and multi-cultural Vojvodina, a Serbia's nothern province, but also of Šumadija, the central part of Serbia. Rich traditional melodies are performed with musical accompaniment of varied instrumental ensembles.
NOTE:
All patrons, including children, must have a ticket for the performance. Children should be able to sit quietly throughout the performance, must be accompanied by and seated next to an adult. If unable to do so, children and their accompanying adult will be asked to leave the auditorium. Please note that children below 5 years of age will not be admitted.
