We’re as proud as ever to invite the UK’s finest independent labels, publishers, sync agents and composers to hear from some of the top LA Music Supervisors in film and television.
We are still hoping to bring you an event in LA later this year but in the meantime we are delighted to bring you the first in a series of webinars.
For the first webinar our panellists are: Samuel Diaz, Director of Music Supervision, CBS Television Studios, Samantha Hilscher, Executive Director of TV Music at Lionsgate/Starz and Jason Alexander, CEO & Music Supervisor, Hit the Ground Running will be in conversation with Debbie Adler, Head of Creative Industries & Digital Media, North America, UK Department for International Trade.

Speaker bios:
Jason Alexander, CEO & Music Supervisor, Hit the Ground Running
Founder of a leading boutique music supervision company based in Los Angeles, Hit the Ground Running, Jason is a successful music supervisor with over two decades of experience. Founded in 2001, HTGR has overseen the music for several award-winning TV programs such as CSI, CSI: Miami, CSI: New York, Everybody Hates Chris, Entourage, Cold Case, Without A Trace, and studio films including Flicka and Goal, along with various documentaries and independent films. In 2009, Jason also co-founded the trailer music company, Pusher.
Samantha Hilscher, Executive Director of TV Music at Lionsgate/Starz
Samantha began her career interning in the Touring and Artist Development Department at RCA Records. After interning, she landed her first job at the artist management company Dare Mighty Entertainment before moving into TV/Film on the Music Business Affairs team at Lionsgate. Once at Lionsgate, Samantha quickly realized that her creative passion lie in music for television. After a year of gaining invaluable music legal experience, she began working on the Lionsgate TV Music team. Samantha oversees music for Lionsgate’s hit series, including Dear White People, Greenleaf, Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet, and Step Up, among several others. She most recently worked on Lionsgate’s new musical for NBC Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, and HBO Max’s first scripted series Love Life, starring Anna Kendrick.
Samuel Diaz, Director of Music Supervision, CBS Television Studios
An industry professional for over 20 years, Samuel works as in-house music supervisor for NCIS, Blue Bloods, Blood & Treasure, Carol’s Second Act, NCIS: New Orleans and the new series Tommy and Broke. Working on NCIS since its inception, the show remains the #1 drama in the United States. Prior to CBS, he worked as in-house music supervisor at Paramount Television.

Debbie Adler, Head of Creative Industries & Digital Media, North America, UK Department for International Trade
In her role with the Department for International Trade (DIT), Debbie leads a team that supports US companies investing into the UK, and UK companies expanding to the US and Canada. The team works with companies in music, film, TV, immersive tech, digital media, gaming, publishing, sports, esports, advertising and adtech, and more. They advise these businesses on strategic growth considerations, visibility at DIT funded events and programmes, receiving support through various channels of the UK government, and creating ways for people to connect with potential buyers.
