When she’s accused of being a “woman who hates women,” she decides to hire a female writer (Mindy Kaling) to help revitalize her ageing talk show and diversify her all-male writer’s room. The LATE NIGHT cast includes John Lithgow, Hugh Dancy, Reid Scott, Max Casella, John Early, Amy Ryan and more. Smartly written by Kaling and snappily directed by Nisha Ganatra, the film takes on white privilege, entitlement and questioning how women in power are “supposed” to act today. If an Open Roof Festival event is rained out, we will communicate with ticket holders of the event via the email address provided to issue a rain check for a future screening.
