Let your art skills take flight in this beginner-level water color painting class with artist and educator, Marlene Maloney! Paint your very own feathered friend and learn the skills to create all kinds of watercolor masterpieces in the future.
This introductory watercolor class will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 11th in the Upstairs Studio of the St. Mane Theatre.
Maloney will guide students through painting an adorable owl. Along the way, students will learn introductory watercolor painting techniques. Watch as your brushstrokes become the wings, talons, and beaks of these beloved birds.
Marlene Maloney is a former graphic artist and middle school art teacher from Minneapolis. Since retirement, she’s been enjoying her own creative life working with pastels, watercolors, and acrylics. Her style is still evolving and loosening up with more expressive colors and brushstrokes. Marlene has painted many subjects but looks mostly to nature for inspiration. She loves Lanesboro and enjoys working with people and hopes to teach and inspire creativity in this community!
