Description
ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
Once we identify as artists, it opens a new and magical relationship with the world around us. We are compelled to see where that path leads - the path that begins by saying,
“I am an artist.”
“I am an artist.”
“I am an artist…”
Time After Time, acrylic on canvas, 2023, Randal Roberts
This program is an opportunity to explore what happens when we prioritize creating, and deepen our connection to art. By dedicating this time, we get closer to the canvas and acquire tools to make art our practice.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
This is an occasion to temporarily set the noise of the “real world” aside and, nestled in a safe container, devote our collective time to art continuously for the duration of the workshop. Rejuvenated and refocused, the artist emerges with new tools and pleasant memories that serve as fuel for the years to come.
Stream, acrylic on canvas, 2024, Randal Roberts
During our time together, we will explore using drawing as a meditative practice, various acrylic painting techniques, with special focus on how to develop our own unique and personal artistic language, and how to infuse the art we make with meaning.

Randal Roberts is an internationally recognized, self-taught American painter. His paintings fuse various wisdom traditions, iconic symbolism, personal experiences and relationships with the flow of ornamental design. Having identified as an artist his whole life, at the age of 30 he met artists Alex & Allyson Grey, and was at last inspired to quit the factory job and dedicate himself to art full time. After embarking on a year-long soul-searching road trip, Randal found community at Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York, where he lived and worked for seven years while compiling a body of artwork. He has lived in the beautiful NY Hudson Valley, the beloved San Francisco Bay, and is currently based in Denver, Colorado.
"I pledge to do my best work for the highest good, & to practice my art as a way of awakening myself and others.
To You; cherished friends and family; to the beautiful, absurd, creative flow and language of the universe; and to the global Love Tribe – gone, living, and to be: Thank you.
I love you, and do my best for you.”
