Nadine Lee is an acclaimed British musical director, composer, and multi-instrumentalist known for her work across theatre, film, and live performances. With an extensive background in both creative direction and performance, Nadine has carved a unique space in the industry, blending her passion for storytelling with an unparalleled musical versatility. Her career spans notable theatre productions, including Wuthering Heights (National Theatre/UK tour), Peter Pan (National Theatre/White City Theatre), and Misty (The Shed, Off-Broadway New York). Nadine’s work as a musical director has taken her across the UK and internationally.
Nadine’s work showcases her ability to lead productions with both vision and precision, earning her nominations for awards like the BBTA Award for Best Musical Director and the Broadway World Award. Nadine's talent has also shone on the big screen, most notably as the leader of the Nadine Lee Band in the film The Man in The Hat. Her diverse musical skill set—ranging from vocals to drums and bass guitar have made her a sought-after session musician.
Nadine has performed and collaborated with world-renowned artists such as Lizzo, Stormzy, Annie Lennox, and CeCe Winans etc... while also working with iconic ensembles like the London Philharmonic Orchestra. A pioneer in the UK gospel scene, Nadine is the founder of Ekklesia, a gospel group that achieved significant recognition with their MOBO-nominated album Rain.
Nadine’s dedication to education is equally impressive. She holds an MA in Commercial Songwriting & Production from Nottingham Trent University (Confetti) and a BMus in Popular Music and Performance (Drums & Percussion) from the University of West London. As an educator, she has shared her expertise with students at prestigious institutions, including Brown University (Rhode Island), Leeds Conservatoire, and Yale University. Nadine has also been a lecturer at the London College of Creative Media since 2013.
Her recent ventures include Finally Nadine, a solo project that highlights her musical identity, and Locked Down But Not Out, which showcases her creative resilience during challenging times. Her technical skills and attention to detail, from vocal arrangements to managing complex sound setups, make her a dynamic force on stage. With a career defined by versatility, passion, and innovation, Nadine Lee continues to push boundaries in music, performance, and storytelling. Whether leading a band, composing for theatre, or mentoring the next generation of artists, Nadine’s impact resonates across every genre she touches.
