Have you ever wanted to make your own perfume or learn about the art of perfumery? Join us this March at ShopEco for a talk focused on fragrance. In this 2 hour seminar, we’ll take you through all the different types of perfumery products and how they’re made, how we choose fragrances as consumers and how perfumers will storytell through their formulations, how fragrances are layered in a perfume and different aroma families. We’ll also talk about sustainability in fragrances and important things you should know, as well as the history of the perfumery industry. Our discussion will be focussed on natural fragrances, including essential oils and absolutes, although we will also touch on synthetics and their pros and cons. Throughout the event, you’ll get to smell different single aromas and blends, where you’ll get to try to pick out the fragrant notes. Before you leave, you’ll get to make your own custom perfume to take home.
