5:30 PM - 5:50 PM | Blockchain: The New Trust Framework with Mike McCoy, Blockchain Implementation Manager at Accenture: In today’s digital world with an abundance of access from city to city, country to country, there is an ever-growing problem of who and what to trust when it comes to the world wide web. From content creation, news, where our food comes from to even personal data of the people in our ecosystem, there is a lack of trust. In comes blockchain technology, which has the power to create a single source of truth in the digital world that can help bring people and organizations together. Mike McCoy will discuss the origins of trust and how we are using distributed ledgers to create better transparency in our interactions today.
6:00 PM - 6:20 PM | "Can this thing work? Agile Risk Management" with Art Carey, Software Development Manager at Linode: Starting a personal project? Working freelance? First employee at a startup?
