A versatile artist hailing from Zimbabwe, she seamlessly weaves together elements of Soul, R'n'B, Jazz, Reggae, Hip-Hop, and most recently Amapiano to craft compelling narratives around the human experience. Based in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia), she infuses her music with the vibrant energy and multicultural influences of the city and her upbringing, captivating audiences with her electrifying stage presence and soulful voice. NIASHA's roots run deep in culture and her music reflects a richness of influences, drawing from diverse traditions and experiences which resonate with audiences, forging connections that unite listeners in shared emotions and experiences through her storytelling. Throughout her career, NIASHA has graced stages at prestigious events and festivals, including Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Melbourne International Arts Festival, The Lost Lands Festival, Leaps and Bounds, Fairfield in Feb, WOMADELAIDE, WOMAD South Africa to name a few. She has performed with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra who accompanied her in a live orchestra rendition of her music. NIASHA was also handpicked by Sampa the Great to join her on the Europe leg of her tour in 2023 as a vocalist which saw her perform on platforms such as the BBC Radio, North Sea Jazz Festival, Jazz A Vienne, Gurten, Paleo, SuperBock Super Rock, Pohoda and El Dorado festivals. Beyond her musical endeavors, NIASHA is deeply committed to community initiatives. She serves as an ambassador for Chozen Foundation, a charity organization dedicated to uplifting marginalized communities through education and empowerment programs in Zimbabwe. Additionally, NIASHA engages in local youth initiatives where she leverages her talent and experience to empower young people through music workshops and mentorship programs.
