Rotaract Club of Mississauga is hosting their 5th Annual Winter Gala, Night of a Thousand Stars, at Roma’s Hospitality Centre in Mississauga on Saturday, November 4, 2017.
The Rotaract Club of Mississauga always aspires to live everyday by the motto “Service Above Self” and believes that the more you give, the more you receive. The Winter Gala provides the opportunity each year for RCM to give back by identifying an area in need within their community. All the proceeds from the Gala are donated to an organization to empower the people and community. Every year the gala delivers a spectacular night filled with amazing food, music and performances. Last year’s star studded event supported Sick Kids’ Group for Improvement of Intestinal Function and Treatment (GIFT) program, which raised over five thousand dollars to aid in the treatment and research of intestinal failure in children. This year’s red carpet event is in support of the Erin Mills Youth Centre.
The Erin Mills Youth Centre was established in 1995 providing underprivileged youth in the area with breakfast programs, after school activities and summer camps. At Erin Mills Youth Centre they believe power in youth is unleashed through adult-youth partnerships, where mutuality, reciprocity and respect can flourish. They believe with the right support, opportunity and perspective youth can achieve and develop their goals that will positively change communities. The goal of the Erin Mills Youth Centre is to provide the foundation for empowering youth to advocate for themselves and their community in order to create a brighter future.
