The Paley Museum is pleased to host a special screening of Beatles ’64, an all-new documentary from producer Martin Scorsese and director David Tedeschi.
Capturing the electrifying excitement of the Beatles’ first American visit in February 1964, the film includes rare and previously unseen footage filmed by pioneering documentarians Albert and David Maysles, beautifully restored by Park Road Post in New Zealand. The music in Beatles ’64 is also a revelation. Live performances from the Beatles’ first American concert at the Washington, DC Coliseum and first Ed Sullivan Show appearances were demixed by WingNut Films and remixed by Giles Martin. The restored footage and music are augmented by newly filmed interviews with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, along with archival contributions from John Lennon and George Harrison, as well as fans whose lives were transformed by the Beatles. Beatles ’64 will stream exclusively on Disney+ beginning November 29.
Paley’s big screen is the perfect place to see and hear the Beatles like never before.
This event is made possible by generous support from The Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation.
