Combine watercolor, collage, and mosaic skills to create beautiful and expressive cards with guest teacher Robin Anderson!
This class encourages participants to explore colors, textures, and shapes in creative combinations. Students ages 12 and up can make everything from abstract patterns to carefully arranged paper scenes to decorate unique greeting cards! Paper Quilting Greeting Cards will take place at the St. Mane Theatre’s second-floor studio from 1:00 - 3:00 pm on Tuesday, August 15th.
Students will use watercolor techniques to make their own textured and patterned paper, which they will then cut and tear into shapes to create their ‘quilted’ image. At the end of the class, Anderson will lead participants in a poetry exercise, providing inspiration for students to fill their cards with creative writing!
Robin Anderson grew up in the Lanesboro Area and now lives in Rochester, where she works part-time as the Artist at the Bedside for the Mayo Clinic. She brings her creativity wherever she goes, from art workshops for people of all ages to patients’ bedsides. She has been an artist all her life and is honored to share the joy of creating with others.
