Tilted Tavern Animal Sanctuary is a forever home to over 80 rescued farm animals and other species. Most of our rescues were abused, neglected, or abandoned. We have rescued cows, pigs, waterfowl, chickens, horses, goats, sheep, and a turkey named Jack. Many of these rescues are quite social and crave human attention. And we always need help cleaning up their enclosures, our stalls, and well...picking up poo. Do you have what it takes to get down and dirty and playful? Come meet our rescues and see if volunteering is a fit for you. Must be 18 years or older. We are looking to fill afternoon volunteer shifts during the week and weekends. We will have volunteer recruitment workshops on January 19th, February 23rd, and March 15th at 3:30 pm. You only have to attend one event.
Tilted Tavern is currently not open to the public, but we hope to be in the future. We will e-mail you the address and directions after registering. We are also hosting a Volunteer Wildlife Transporter Workshop through our other nonprofit, Wildlife Resources and Education Network, which will take place at 2 pm eastern time on January 19th, February 23rd, and March 15th (same day and location). This is free as well. Please let us know if you want to attend.
