Following Kate Frey's introduction workshop on how to Design a Bee Friendly Garden, this workshop is designed to highlight the next steps in how to construct a pollinator friendly garden. Kate will discuss 10 easy steps beginning with site analysis and garden design to soil development, weed control, and irrigation, to plant selection and maintenance. Kate's incorporation of a whole-systems approach to garden design will help you to produce a healthy, thriving garden that is easy to care for while simultaneously supporting a healthy habitat for our region's pollinators.
This workshop will help inspire you to create the garden of your dreams!
We will join Kate at one of her current project sites located in the heart of Walla Walla. The 1-acre site was acquired in March, 2019, and garden construction began in late April. Kate will walk participants through each stage of garden construction, providing valuable examples of how to approach garden design using the 10 easy steps.
