Description
The 2018 Queen City Brewers Festival (QCBF), powered by Cloosiv, returns to The Fillmore for the third year on Saturday, February 3. The festival is ACEing Autism-Charlotte’s annual winter fundraiser and spotlights the Charlotte area’s breweries and brewpubs along with select restaurants and snack food exhibitors to support ACEing Autism’s mission to serve more families in the Charlotte community affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Guests will enjoy beer sampling from 36 exclusively Charlotte breweries and complimentary food sampling from a variety of hand-picked restaurant exhibitors with admission.
It has been another impressive year for Charlotte's brewery growth since the last QCBF and we are thrilled to welcome several NEW breweries to the 2018 lineup, including: Resident Culture, Cavendish, Catawba, Eleven Lakes, Sweet Union, Seaboard, Hyde and more to be announced! The neighboring Fillmore Underground will again be an exciting addition to our site plan.
The
festival’s second session, held from
6 p.m. to 9 p.m., is sponsored by
Carolina
Beer Temple
.
With locations in both Matthews and Ayrsley, Carolina Beer Temple is an independently
owned and operated craft beer store featuring a large bottle selection as well
as a draft beer bar. Both locations feature a wide variety of beers brewed in
North Carolina, specialty Belgian ales and craft beers from across the
country.
In all, QCBF will feature 36 breweries exclusive to
the Charlotte area. You'll finally get to meet all the area breweries outside
your neighborhood that you've been meaning to visit!
Also new this year, we have asked brewery participants to consider developing a "collaborACE" beer with a brewery near an ACEing Autism site nationally. With more than 55 program locations across the country, we are striving to generate awareness of our programs. . . in this case through beer!

To complement all the delicious locally crafted beer, QCBF will feature restaurant and snack exhibitors offering bites from their menu, including Queen Park Social, Sabor, Appalachia Cookie Co., Queen City Pretzel, JJ's Red Hots, Trader Joe's, Q Tavern, Moo & Brew, Sea Level NC, Duckworth's, Libretto's and more to be named. As always, all food sampling at QCBF is included with your ticket!
Enjoy Charlotte on tap 2/3/18!
About ACEing Autism-Charlotte:
ACEing Autism is a non-profit organization that uses specially designed tennis clinics by autism and tennis professionals to improve the lives of children affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The goal of QCBF 2018 is to help launch a program in north Charlotte to meet demand and serve families in Concord, Cornelius, Huntersville and the surrounding area. Funds raised from QCBF will also be used to expand the Charlotte program’s enrollment, produce the annual Racquet Run, offer a special clinic at the Winston-Salem Open and keep registration costs as low as possible for participating families through a scholarship program.
