From the VERY. FIRST. RING. You know something QUEER is afoot.
Queer Fear presents Scream
EXCLUSIVELY IN 35MM*!
From the openly gay writer of “I Know What You Did Last Summer”, creator of the super queer b-movie “The Faculty”, and Dawson’s Creek (hella gay) comes SCREAM. This queer cinematic experience completely changed the rules of the slasher genre, while simultaneously paying so much tribute to its predecessors in its self awareness that it borders on camp!
Join Queer Fear as we celebrate the toughest Final Girl in horror movie history, survivor of FOUR massacres, the incomparable Sydney Prescott, played by Canadian queen Neve Campbell! Plus, we’ll be taking a closer look at Billy & Stu’s sexually questionable relationship and all the other reasons why this classic is a queer horror masterpiece!
Featuring a curated pre-show and performances by some of Toronto’s best Scream Queens, the film will be shown exclusively on 35mm!! For you non-film buffs, that means we’ll be screening Scream in its original FILM format (not digital!), which is going to enhance that classic horror movie feel for one of the biggest horror movies of all time!
PLUS, as an extra special addition, we’ll be screening local queer filmmaker Blake Mawson’s fiendishly satisfying award-winning horror short ‘PYTOR495’! (check out the trailer here:)

This is the Queer Fear you’ve all been waiting for!
