Officials!
💣I don’t want to skate, but still want to get involved…
You are our new favorite person! Along with referees, a roller derby game also requires a group of Non-skating Officials (NSOs) to help officiate the game. If you love statistics and sticking to the rules, then you’ll love being an NSO.
If this sounds like you, then we can introduce you to the world of NSO’ing. You can also learn to skate if you’d like to be a referee (see below).
💥I want to learn how to skate, but I don’t want to play roller derby…
You’re more than welcome to attend our boot camp if you just want to learn how to skate for the purpose of becoming an official.
If you want to skate, but don’t like the idea of hitting people on skates, we can teach you to be a roller derby referee. Come to our boot camp practices as usual, we'll be more than happy to welcome you.
Both men and women 18 & over are encouraged to register. There is no cost for an official to attend boot camp practices.
Practice Times: Tuesdays 6:30p - 8:30p Wednesdays 8:30p - 10:30p. January 9th through February 14th.
*Promotional items with registration to be distributed at check-in on the first day of the boot camp.
