From Oct. 4 through Oct. 31, 2024, Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival & Lecture Series is proud to present "A State of Grace," a cinematic celebration of our ability to find joy, love and honor while overcoming challenging times. Reel Sisters 27th Anniversary Festival Season centers families, art, music, nature, comedy and parenthood as our women of color filmmakers share deeply personal stories about loss and joy. Living in a state of grace — wise advice given by the late poet Maya Angelou — allows us to find the courage to keep moving forward.
