Featuring Jessi Colter, Tyler Childers, Shooter Jennings, Chris Shiflett, and More The GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to host a special event previewing a chapter from the new, upcoming documentary series, They Called Us Outlaws. The event will include a special appearance by Executive Producer and GRAMMY Hall of Fame Award Recipient Jessi Colter, in addition to performances from two-time GRAMMY nominee Tyler Childers, joined by fellow Appalachian singer/songwriters John R. Miller and Abby Hamilton, and from two-time GRAMMY winner Shooter Jennings joined by Jesse Daniel. Filmmakers Eric Geadelmann and Kelly Magelky will also participate in a panel discussion at the event, joined by former Kings of Leon band member who created the film series' original music score Chris Coleman, two-time GRAMMY nominee and narrator of the film who also serves as an executive producer of the project Jack Ingram, and 12x GRAMMY-winning musician, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, critically-acclaimed solo artist and Foo Fighters lead guitarist Chris Shiflett, who will moderate the panel. They Called Us Outlaws - Cosmic Cowboys, Honky Tonk Heroes And The Rise Of Renegade Troubadours is an upcoming twelve-hour documentary from Armadillo World Studios and Shadowbrook Studios presented in association with The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum that takes us back to the cosmic 1970s, when Outlaw singers and songwriters began blazing new trails of independence that continue to impact American music. Featuring over one hundred interviews with both the era’s most iconic figures and those who carry the torch today (including Tyler Childers and Shooter Jennings), the six-part epic comes from Austin-based writer and director Eric Geadelmann and Denver-based producer and director of photography Kelly Magelky. Executive producers include GRAMMY Hall of Fame Award-recipient Jessi Colter and nine-time GRAMMY winner Ray Benson.
