Rehearsals for Living: Eco Library Pop-up Book Talk in partnership with Frontier Magazine
Launching a new event series at The Bentway's Eco Library Pop-up, bestselling author Robyn Maynard joins Western University professor Kate Stanley for a lively discussion about crisis, care, and fostering interconnectedness in the city.
Robyn Maynard and Leanne Betasamosake Simpson’s bestselling book Rehearsals for Living marked a revolutionary collaboration between two of our most important contemporary thinkers, writers, and activists. In the book, begun during the first pandemic lockdowns and the social protests sparked in part by the killing of George Floyd, the authors envision possibilities for more liberatory futures. Three years later, and one year after the book was published, where do we stand? Can new ways of thinking about urban space, ecologies and ecosystems, and our relationships accelerate positive change?
