WHAT IS RIVER RETREAT:
River Retreat is a weekend escape to the Guadalupe River for a camping and musical adventure through the decades. This year we're highlighting music from the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's and strongly encouraging you to participate fashionably with costumes and campsite décor. Your days will be filled with food and beverage and time spent with your party bubble splashing about in the river. As the sun settles, your desire for live entertainment is finally addressed with bingo, trivia, and live music.
WHERE IS RIVER RETREAT:
Once again we are partnering with our favorite campgrounds, KL Ranch Camp “on the River” in New Braunfels, Texas. River Retreat is a great escape from city life as it stretches over 10+ acres across the entire river front property. There are only 40 campsites available for purchase for River Retreat with a 6 person group package per campsite reservation on the River and a 4 person group package for the limited sites at Cliffside. The campsite price varies based on campsite amenities and location. You will be assigned a campsite number and that is your campsite that will NOT be shared with anyone outside of your group.

WHO ATTENDS RIVER RETREAT:
While River Retreat was designed with adults in mind, families with children are more than welcome to attend (children under 4 do not count against your campsite capacity). If you choose to bring your child, we suggest you select a campsite in the "Family Recommended Section". You will also be required to sign a personal responsibility waiver at check in.
WHEN IS RIVER RETREAT:
We've scheduled the Retreat on the last weekend of March. Since the river’s peak season is yet to begin, there are less people enjoying the river (making it easier to socially distance) and the nights are a tad bit cooler allowing for perfect camping conditions. River Retreat is scheduled for:
4 Days and 3 Nights -Thursday, March 25th through Sunday, March 28th.
Check-in
Gates Open at 1:00 pm on Thursday, 25th (Your reservation is for all four days)
Gates Open at 11:00 am on Friday, 26th (You can check in on Thursday or Friday, but its the same price)
Check-in available until 10:00pm
NO Saturday check-in, Thursday or Friday check in only!
NO single day reservations.
Attendees can stay as late as 1:00pm on Sunday, March 28th.
HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS:
The health & safety of all River Retreat attendees is of the highest importance to us, which is why we will be following all guidelines and regulations set by the local and state governments (State and Local). River Retreat Staff & Organizers will be tested within 48-72 hours of site arrival.
Upon arrival, Staff will take the temperature of each member of your party bubble/campsite.
If you bring a Proof of Vaccination or a Negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of your arrival, you will receive a surprise Sponsor Swag-Bag and eternal adulation of your peers.
Additionally, we will be strongly (if not overbearingly) encouraging social distancing, the washing of hands (numerous handwashing stations will be located throughout the campgrounds) and a general respect for others. Your campsite is and should be treated as yours exclusively and there will be borders that we ask everyone to not cross. However, we need to allow for the river banks to used by all. We're going to be sharing the river and the road like we usually do. You must wear your mask while walking on the road. Be kind, give people space and we will post updates as developments emerge regarding health & safety protocols.

$795 Glamping Experience Upgrade: Rent a Camper/RV from us that will be waiting for you at KL Ranch Camp “On the River". Prices do NOT vary.
Children Under 4 years of age DO NOT COUNT as a person on your campsite.
All Group Reservations allow for 6 people to stay on your campsite.
You may add up to two additional people to your campsite. One additional person for $195, or two additional persons for $345. This upgrade is available at checkout.
CAMPSITE RESERVATION INCLUDES:
ALL Group Site Reservations come with an allotment of up to 6 people camping on your very own campsite! You may purchase up to two additional people at checkout.
The average size of each campsite is 3,750 square feet.
Four Days and Three Nights Campsite Reservation. All reservations are Thursday - Sunday and you can check in on Thursday from 1pm until 10:00pm; and on Friday at 11:00am until 10:00pm. No Saturday Check-in and the event will be over around 1:00pm Sunday. If you are bringing your own RV/Camper, please do not arrive after 5:00pm.
LIVE MUSIC: Friday & Saturday evening concerts on the Lawn at The Corner Pub main stage. NO amplified music allowed past midnight on the grounds or at your site.
BINGO & TRIVIA: Thursday evening we'll open the festival with a few games of Bingo with Blue Heron Yacht Club and a few rounds of Trivia with Jon Conner.
Complimentary Color-coded Wristband: During the Reservation process you will be asked about what color wristband you and your campground will be sporting at ALL TIMES. Red or Yellow. These colors will signify to others how you want to be approached and/or treated on the grounds while practicing Social Distancing.
You will have a reserved pod on "the Lawn" that will be your area for the entire weekend. At the end of the checkout process you can add-on and reserve your own personal picnic table (seats 6) that will be waiting for you on "the Lawn"; or you can bring your own fold up chairs, your own picnic blanket and your own mat for your reserved pod. We ask that everyone stay within their pod while enjoying the live music. Staff will escort you to your pod/area/site.
FOR THE ACTIVE: Hiking, tubing, canoeing, paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, rope swings and fishing.

CAMPING INFORMATION:
If you are bringing your own RV/Motorhome please make sure you reserve a Group Package that has the proper 30/50 amp plugin options. Most RV sites have water but some do not and those sites are a bit smaller and cost less. We are offering a "Glamping Upgrade" with an additional one-time $795 cost. This upgrade will have an air-conditioned Camper that sleeps 4-7 people that will be waiting for you. The campers will have very limited supplies and you will need to bring your own bedding, camping supplies, cleaning supplies etc. The Campers are very limited and they sell-out quickly. All the RV sites have 30 amp electrical plug-ins, most have water connections; 50 amp sites are also available but limited. Generators are not welcome unless given special permission. Please note that one can Reserve a 50 or 30 Amp RV site and choose not to bring or use an RV/Motorhome/Camper. You may simply pitch tents on the premium sites. Please read ALL descriptions.
You are welcome to setup as many tents as are necessary to accommodate your party. Only one RV/Camper per campsite permitted.
Attendees who plan to tent camp will do so just like on a regular camping weekend at KL. For positive sleeping arrangements, we suggest requesting Group package campsites #68 - #59. On the day of your arrival your campsite number will be provided to you when you Check-in at the KL Ranch Camp “On the River” front gate 5455 River Rd. New Braunfels, TX 78132.
Every person during the check-in process AND when dealing with either Campground staff or River Retreat staff, MUST WEAR A MASK!
Don’t forget to buy your parking pass (one parking pass per vehicle) if you want to park your car onsite and on the KL "on the River" Campgrounds. Free parking is available outside of the grounds across the street.
Campers are welcome on their campsite, the road, and the Lawn- ONLY. All other campsites are to be considered private-property. This is to ensure everyone’s health and safety. We will have a designated river entry and drop-in at the end of the campgrounds near Zen City. It will have a sign and we prefer everyone use this entry point to float the campgrounds.
Clean and well-maintained showers are available on site, but they do require quarters for operation. We will have numerous hand washing and hand sanitizer stations spread around the campgrounds, as well as portable bathrooms.
There is NO COMPLIMENTARY FOOD PROGRAM at River Retreat. However, there will be food onsite for purchase for Breakfast and Dinner provided by Little Kitchen HTX and chef Jason Kerr.
Everyone is encouraged to bring their own camping supplies (food, equipment, coolers, face masks, and beverages). Please feel free to cook on your site. As always the campgrounds have firewood and ice on-site for purchase. There is also a small store on both Campgrounds with various camping necessities should one forget or need something. You can even buy cold beverages at the "Cliff-side' corner store.
*As a reminder when dealing with either Campground staff, Event Staff, or to purchase from their store(s), in talking or interacting with staff YOU MUST WEAR A MASK!
REFUNDS:
There are typically NO refunds for this event; and please do not ask for something frivolous. However, we will be somewhat flexible if you test positive for COVID-19. As always if you purchase a ticket and cannot attend, you can transfer your reservation to a friend or family member. If we have to cancel this event for any reason, or postpone it for any reason we will offer everyone a 100% refund. If you are not feeling well then without question, let us know and lets talk about you staying home and us doing what you feel is right with the money you spent.
IN CONCLUSION:
We are very excited to return to the KL campgrounds; in fact, this is the first year we've done an event on this particular weekend. As most of you are aware, the music and entertainment industry has been devastated by the pandemic. As much as River Retreat is an escape for you, it is also one of the few gainful opportunities for artists and musicians to showcase their expressions and talent.
