Sakura Days Japan Fair ( #SDJF ) is a family-friendly, two-day Japanese festival showcasing Japanese cultural and performing arts, cuisine and business while celebrating spring and the ephemeral beauty of the cherry blossom. Traditional, modern and fusion Japan. Experience it all.Soak in the wonderful Japanese festival atmosphere and enjoy taiko drumming, martial arts, koto (Japanese harp), dance and singing performances. Participate in a tea ceremony, origami (paper folding), haiku or calligraphy and try getting dressed in an authentic yukata.www.JapanFairVancouver.comSakura Days Japan Fair will be held on April 9 & 10, 2016 from 10:00am to 5:00pm each day at the spectacular VanDusen Botanical Garden. 5251 Oak Street, Vancouver, BC.Avoid the line-ups by buying tickets online. Tickets will also be available in person at VanDusen Botanical Garden Visitor Centre, Admissions Desk during garden hours starting end of March.*Early bird ticket pricing ends at 11:45 pm PDT April 8.Tickets will also be available at the door - please keep in mind that you will have to wait in a longer line-up to enter.There is a reduced rate for VanDusen Members, but all Member tickets must be purchased in person at VanDusen either before or on the day of the event. Ticket sales at VanDusen start in March.Sakura Days Japan Fair was established in 2009 and is presented by the volunteer-run Japan Fair Association of Vancouver (JFAV) as one of the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival Month events. The JFAV is comprised of individuals representing Vancouver’s leading Japan-Canada business associations. JFAV’s mission is to showcase Japan and Japan-Canada communities to the Canadian community at large, in an effort to facilitate better understanding and relationships.Please Note: - Each ticket is good for all day entry to the event on EITHER April 9 OR April 10. If you would like to attend both days, you need to purchase two tickets/person.- This is a rain or shine event. NO REFUNDS.
