Utah’s newest and fastest-growing contemporary dance company presents its final concert of the 2016–17 season. Don’t miss Utah’s rare opportunity to see new works from established, current choreographers set on some of the state's finest, most technically-trained dancers. SALT in Concert will feature world-premiere works, including new creations from Jermaine Spivey, Peter Chu, and Lindsey Matheis (bios below).

PETER CHU
A BFA graduate from The Juilliard School, Peter has danced with BJM_Danse, Kidd Pivot, and more. He has choreographed for Hubbard Street 2, So You Think You Can Dance, New Dialect, and several NDT Summer Intensives. In 2008, Peter formed a Las Vegas project-based company, chuthis. He is excited to tour with Kidd Pivot and continue working as Guest Rehearsal Director for Nederlands Dans Theater 1 this Spring.

JERMAINE SPIVEY
After graduating with a BFA from The Juilliard School, Jermaine danced with Ballet Gulbenkian and Cullberg Ballet and then joined Crystal Pite's world-renowned company Kidd Pivot in 2008, where he has been dancing since. Jermaine has received several awards, including the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts 1st Level Scholarship and the Princess Grace Award.

LINDSEY MATHEIS
After graduating from the North Carolina School of the Arts, Lindsey trained for a year at the Alonzo King LINES Ballet School in San Francisco. Lindsey has appeared in original new works by Alonzo King, Amy Raymond, Robert Moses and Yannis Adoniou. She has studied at the Alvin Ailey School, the American Dance Festival, and Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet.
Lindsey has danced original roles in Northwest Dance Project works by Didy Veldman, Patrick Delcroix, Ihsan Rustem, Maurice Causey, Benoit-Swan Pouffer, Andrea Miller, Lucas Crandall, Sarah Slipper, Pedro Dias, Noam Gagnon, Edgar Zendejas, Loni Landon, Wen Wei Wang, Olivier Wevers, Lauren Edson, Carla Mann, and Minh Tran.
Also on the program is Ihsan Rustem's Voice of Reason and Eric Handman's Omnivore, both of which premiered in SALT's run of sold-out shows in November 2016.
