Dinner on the beach anyone?
Last years sold out event is back. Your chance to learn what can you catch in BC oceans without a
boat.
We'll
be fishing for surf smelt with biologist and commercial fisherman, Ficus
Chan who will discuss harvesting seaweed, salmon, flounder, sole, sculpin,
herring, crab,
sea urchins, sea cucumbers, squid, clams, geoduck, scallops, whelk, oysters,
mussels, gooseneck barnacles in BC.
Share
a sunset evening with Ficus and one of our Swallow Tail chefs who will be cooking you
dinner on the beach. Bring all your questions about how to harvest from
the seashore. We'll put in our nets to see what we catch right off the
beach, guests can have a hand at catching smelt in the surf.
