About STARLING:
Starling was discovered by Henry Binns of Zero7 in a Soho bar she worked in, and from there ended up in sessions with Massive Attack. She sings about courage, darkness, and coming through every fire stronger than before. With several strings to her bow, Starling also has a podcast "Starlingsworld" discussing the process of creativity, and this has now been turned into a live event by Soho House.
She founded The Platform, a series of mentoring programmes born out of her passion to “be to others what I had needed”. The Platform helps creatives emotionally and strategically turn their dreams into reality.
Celebrity fans include Vivienne Westwood and Eminem, who had Starling’s ‘No Rest for the Wicked’ on hold for his last album. With millions of streams already under her belt and comparisons to Lorde and Bastille, Starling is set for pop stardom.
About ZIAH ZIAH:
It is alien, it is human, it is pure queer rage and JOY.
Exploring the ungraspable darkness and euphoria of the human experience, Ziah Ziah looks to connect through raw live energy and a pop sensibility that feels familiar yet unique.
Her world of drama that exists within each of us, searches for something beyond the surface. With throbbing bass from iconic 80's analogue synths, ethereal string arrangements, and a voice with harmonies that echo something of a futuristic past, they demand to take you on a journey. Be ready to be consumed. Ziah Ziah is one to watch in 2024.

About JEMIMA SARA

Jemima’s formal training in Puppetry at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (graduating in 2018) followed by a MA in Fine Art: Drawing at Camberwell (graduating in 2021) has enriched her drawing, allowing her to merge diaristic texts with the figurative or performative.

Recently, Jemima Sara is best known for her work surrounding the toilet which has been described as ‘quintessential to her practice,’ (Stir World), often utilising text and design to serve her concept and enhance visitor interaction. ‘Breaking traditions’ (Stir world), and ‘making meaning from the ‘nitty-gritty’’ (Create Magazine).
About the Exhibition:
From the 24th of February to the 10th of March 2024, artist Jemima Sara will be unveiling her collection of work at St George's Church in Ramsgate. Combining elements of classical figurative forms and abstract shapes. Jemima Sara uses a expressive mixture of brushstrokes, creating paintings and drawings rooted in her own homage to spirituality, identity and healing.
Within this exhibition, Jemima Sara will delve into themes of: love, loss, grief, tragedy, feminism, identity, and womanhood which are all intricately explored in her art. The work is an introspection and reflection. In her own way - she aims to shed light on the historical contributions of radical women and women artists who have long been neglected or rejected, particularly in their exploration of spirituality.
