The SF LGBT Center's Board of Directors invite you to kick-off the Pride Season at the Board Pride Party! Wednesday, June 10, from 6-9 pm. Guests will be able to mingle with Center board members and supporters, take a tour of the Center, watch amazing belly dance performances, play interactive games, enjoy an open bar and hors d’oeuvres, and dance like everyone is watching! Check out some of the fun things we have in store for you….Belly Dancing with Heaven!!Heaven Mousalem is a multi-award winning bellydancer based in Oakland, CA. She has trained extensively with the legendary Shabnam and teaches at Shabnam Studio in Oakland. She is the Executive Director of Shabnam Dance Company and Ooh La La Bellydance, as well as co-teacher of The Shimmy Vixens student troupe. “She is like woooooow.” - EveryoneLive Cartooning with Elizabeth Beier!!Elizabeth Beier, a local cartoonist, can make a personalized portrait for you within ten minutes, and also capture your answer to the question of why the Center's work is important. You can keep the originals of the drawings, and she will also compile them to create a web comic about the work that still needs to be done to ensure LGBT health, justice and strength. Beier honed her skills in this kind of cartooning while drawing stories for her book We Belong: Stories and Portraits from the Lexington Club. See more about her at www.elizabethdrewyou.com. Dancing with MS JACKSON!!Ms. Jackson has been rocking the turntables at some of the best parties and venues in San Francisco including; Cockblock, MANimal, Switch, Trap City, QBar, Beaux, Bruno's, Public Works, Audio, The Cellar. From SF to LA to NYC she brings the heat because of undying love of music. "I'm so lucky that music has always been there to inspire and keep me motivated every day.
