Description
Join the Women Survivors Alliance and Nashville's Top Songwriters during the Historic 50th annual CMA Awards Week as we celebrate women cancer survivors at the 1st Annual Songwriters for SURVIVORS benefit concert on Sunday, October 30, 2016. Concert begins at 7:00pm. Doors open at 6:00 for those wanting a free tour of the Musicians Hall of Fame.
The inaugural event is hosted by Stacy Widelitz, acclaimed co-writer with Patrick Swayze of “She’s Like The Wind,” from the multi-platinum “Dirty Dancing” soundtrack.
“I am honored to bring to the stage these amazing songwriters on behalf of the Women Survivors Alliance. The proceeds from this concert will benefit so many cancer survivors around the country. For me, this is a way of giving back and honoring my friendship with Patrick, who was taken from us way too early by pancreatic cancer,” says Widelitz.
Songwriters also include Tim Nichols with Grammy Winning "Live Like You Were Dying" (Tim McGraw) Clint Daniels of #1 "Brokenheartsville" (Joe Nichols), Dylan Altman "Take a Little Ride" (Jason Aldean), Marla Cannon-Goodman #1 The Fool (Lee Ann Womack) and "Cleaning This Gun" Rodney Atkins newcomers Suzi Oravac "Bass Goes Boom" and Kalie Shorr with "Fight Like A Girl".
More songwriters are being added to the event, so join us during this historic week of the CMA Awards as Nashville celebrates SURVIVORS!
