Written and directed by Oakland soul and funk musician Boots Riley, the film pushes the boundaries of genre and reality with its surreal, punk, WTF storytelling and aesthetics. In an alternate present-day version of Oakland, telemarketer Cassius Green (Lakeith Stanfield) discovers a magical key to professional success, propelling him into a macabre universe. Featuring a standout soundtrack and starring Lakeith Stanfield (Atlanta, Get Out) and Tessa Thompson (Thor: Ragnarok), “Sorry to Bother You ambitiously pushes the envelope of the sci-fi and comedy genres for a wholly unique, refreshing and hilarious film.” (Molly Freeman, Screen Rant) With a musical performance by Omhouse Doors open at 7:00 pm, Omhouse performs at 8:00 pm, and SORRY TO BOTHER YOU will begin when the sun goes down (roughly around 9:00 pm). If an Open Roof Festival event is rained out, we will communicate with ticket holders of the event via the email address provided to issue a rain check for a future screening. Open Roof organizers track weather radar closely and will be able to make a call on whether an event is rained out by 6:15pm. Ticket holders will receive an email of this outcome and it will also be communicated on our social media. In the event you are not able to attend another screening, proceeds from your tickets will be donated to the festival.
