Join us on Friday, August 21st from 1:30-2:30pm PST for an incredible harp sound healing by harpist and music therapist Andrea Cortez.
Session Description: The melodies of the harp are a medicine for the heart. This instrument holds an ancient tradition of healing and for this group Andrea will weave in the elements of harmony, rhythm, healing musical scales and frequencies to remedy your heart and mind. If you feel emotionally drained, exhausted, or you want to prevent burn out, this will refill your cup. If you are looking for something to elevate your heart, then this medicine calls you. Andrea will incorporate guided relaxation, imagery and positive affirmations within a guided meditation and sound medicine journey.
About Andrea: Andrea Cortez, MM, MT-BC, is a board certified music therapist who uses the power of music to create positive change in the listener. Her work focuses on how rhythm, harmony, and other elements of sound can help improve the health of our mind, body and spirit. She is also a sound artist, composer and sound meditation teacher. In addition to working individually with people, her work encompasses playing music with both animals and plants demonstrating the presence of music as a fundamental structure in the entire natural world. She founded Mind Body Music Center, a sound therapy studio, where she is based in Austin, TX.
