Description
Join us for a ceremony exploring the art of spiritual cleansings, known as limpias, in the traditional system of healing called Curanderismo. Limpia is a Spanish word which means, "to clean". Limpias use earth based elements to energetically cleanse heavy energy from the body in order to restore a human being to its natural state of wellbeing. Limpias heal by primarily bringing an individual into a balance within themselves and the natural world. They activate and renew the vital life force within the body, the etheric energy that flows from the Cosmos, through our body, and into the earth.
The ceremony will include three traditional limpias - cleansing through a baridda with fresh herbs, plant smoke and a cutting away. Other elements that may be introduced are various liquid preparations such as holy water and flowering waters, as well as sound, prayer and touch. This ceremony is for individuals currently experiencing an imbalance in their physical, emotional, mental or spiritual body. Ambient sound will be used to support the physical body to relax and enter into higher states of being. You will experience individual limpias in an intimate group setting. Men and women are welcome.
We’ll be hosted by the graceful guide and educator Sadie Adams, founder of Take Care, the Venice sanctuary of balanced healing and meditation.
