In the immortal words of Hank Williams, “Gonna have big fun on the bayou”, when the St. Tammany Crab Festival returns to the scenic shore of Bayou Bonfouca in Slidell on September 15th and 16th!In addition to headlining Louisiana’s succulent crabs and other
aquatic delicacies reeled in from the bayous and the Gulf, this year’s
Crab Fest will feature some of greatest entertainers in Southeast
Louisiana. On Saturday, September 15
th, Fremaux Ave Band, 90 Degrees West & Louisiana LeRoux will be featured in the first part of the day. Followed by “The Battle of The Bands” which will feature Green Gasoline, Remedy & Akadia, three up and coming bands, followed by Contraflow closing the night out.
Other first-rate performers on Sunday the 16th will include, Voodoo Gumbo, Partners-n-Crime, Ms Tee, Tucka, Michel’le and the legendary group Club Nouveau.
Located approximately 20 minutes from downtown New Orleans, the
St. Tammany Crab Festival offers a wide variety of wholesome family fun
and entertainment as the largest and most diverse family-oriented event
on Louisiana’s Northshore. Vintage car enthusiasts will marvel over the
many classic cars, trucks, rat rods, motorcycles and other unique
vehicles in the 4
th Annual Mr. Crab’s Car Show. This year’s festival also includes the breathtaking BMX Stunt Bike Show by the BMX TrickStars.
Newly added this year will be carnival rides, also for the 3rd year in a row, “Captain Dave” of Cat’s Meow Fishing Charters will take passengers aboard his boat for a scenic tour of Bayou Bonfouca.
