Learn about empowerment self-defense in an inspiring and uplifting documentary set in the beaches and jungles of Costa Rica. Follow along as the four protagonists drive across the country to deliver a dozen trainings in just two weeks, and learn about sisterhood, transformation and healing through self-defense through their eyes and the stories of the women they meet along the way. The film screening will be followed by a Q&A and short demo workshop with producer and Mujeres Fuertes founder Toby Israel. Please join us on June 26th at 6,30pm at the Peace Over Violence Headquarters in Los Angeles. Our all-women production team produced this film with a crowdfunded micro-budget of $5,000 between 2022 and 2023. We are passionate about healing the world through holistic self-defense.
