About the Centennial Gala
The Liberty Theatre, established in 1925, is a historic beacon of art, music, and resilience. Once the largest movie house in Columbus, Georgia, the Liberty Theatre served as a stage for legends like Ella Fitzgerald, Lena Horne, Duke Ellington, and Columbus’ own Gertrude "Ma" Rainey.
On April 11, 2025, at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center, we will host over 800 distinguished guests for a night of performances, guest speakers, and celebration. Your support ensures this gala will be a fitting tribute to the Liberty Theatre’s storied past and a promise for its future.
