OUR FINAL SWIM SESSION OF THE SEASON. AS IS ANNUAL TRADITION, WE’RE RETURNING TO THE LINE HOTEL AUSTIN TO HOST SWIM SESSIONS — A FOUR-PART POOLSIDE SERIES. COME THROUGH ON THE LAST THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH TO VIBE ALONGSIDE LOCAL DJS AND TAKE A DIP IN THE POOL. 100% women and LGBTQ+ lineup. Tickets are $10 and every cent will benefit community initiatives we care about. Capacity is limited. SCROLL FOR MORE DETAILS. WHAT TO EXPECT AT SESSION SEVENTEEN, OUR SUMMER SEASON FINALE ALL BODIES ARE POOL BODIES. SWIMSUITS AND ITS-THE-WEEKEND ENERGY ENCOURAGED (BUT NOT REQUIRED). BRING YOUR FAVES. A three-hour set by Austin-based DJ Strawberry Jams Snacks and bar menu by Veracruz Tacos An art installation by Future Front resident artists in The Line Hotel lobby A pop-up shop, curated by Future Front, in The Line Hotel lobby Poolside staycation vibes MEET THE DJ Strawberry Jams (she/her) is made up of duo Veronica Luna and Alyssa Bunting who have a collective 10 years of vinyl DJ experience. Strawberry Jams plays an array of music from country to psychedelic rock and curate music selections based off their environment and theme. Strawberry Jams does not tolerate environments of bigotry, sexism or racism and will not perform in an environment that jeopardizes the quality of our records. HOW TO ATTEND Tickets are $10 by donation (free for FFTX members and hotel guests). Your ticket includes your pool pass—and is required to attend. This event is 18+. Attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a parent. Proceeds will benefit our very own Creative Future of Texas Fund, a micro-grants program for women and queer creatives and small business owners in Texas. PREPARE YOUR VISIT VENUE LOCATION + ACCESSIBILITY — All Swim Sessions will be held at The Line Hotel Austin pool deck, which is located at 111 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, Texas 78701. The venue is wheelchair-accessible and all activities will occur on the ground floor. PARKING — We highly encourage utilizing rideshare or carpooling as there is limited valet parking available onsite. This venue is easily accessible by Austin public transportation, too. OUR COMMUNITY SAFETY GUIDELINES — All FFTX staff, volunteers and guests will be required to practice mutual respect, as well as demonstrate an alignment with Future Front’s code of conduct and values. All sessions are held online or in outdoor, open-air spaces. Capacity is limited to reduce crowding of any kind. All guests are required to practice mutual respect and social distancing, as well as follow APH’s COVID-19 Guidelines, which currently include: At all levels, people can wear a mask based on personal preference, informed by their personal level of risk. People with potential COVID-19 symptoms and/or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask, regardless of a negative test. People with a positive COVID-19 test and/or not fully vaccinated should not participate in an in-person Future Front event or visit a Future Front location until they test negative and/or they are fully vaccinated and no longer at risk. Homegrown in Austin, Future Front is a community space and exhibition series—with women and LGBTQ+ creatives at the front.
