Brooklyn Psychedelic Society Presents Synchronicity: A Psychedelic Unconference (Friday and Saturday) A two-day participant-led experience: Synchronicity: A Psychedelic Unconference. Synchronicity will be held at the Secret Social Club (the former Norwood Club) — a 4-story Victorian-style mansion built in 1847 in the heart of Manhattan, with a capacity for 400 attendees. This multi-faceted venue is the perfect place for presentations from experts and community leaders, as well as connection-building activities like cacao and kava circles, breathwork and meditation workshops, tea ceremonies, and intimate group discussions. Together we will reflect, network, make new friends, and celebrate our way toward a community-centered future for psychedelics. Because community has always been what’s so special about these conferences to begin with! Each unique floor will host a full program of activities: Welcoming Floor: Tabling + Kitchen + Walled garden + Rest area + Possibly acoustic live music? Speaker Floor: Full programming featuring talks from Rick Doblin, Founder and President of MAPS, legendary visionary artists Alex and Allyson Grey, President of the Confederacy of Amazonic Nationalities of Perú Oseas Barbarán, Regenerative Psychedelic Economist Bennet Zelner, journalist and Double Blind Co-Founder Madison Margolin, Santo Daime Ayahuasquero Dr. Glauber Loures de Assis, Professor and Poet Nicholas Powers, author Charley Wininger, NYTimes journalist Rachel Nuwer, researcher Nicolas Langlitz, psychedelic comedian Adam Strauss, and many more! Un-Conference Floor: In this participant-driven floor, presenters and community leaders will facilitate continuous breakout groups with emphasis on intimacy and connection while discussing key issues of the Psychedelic Renaissance such as economics and psychedelics, Trip Tales, conflict resolution in community, and any other topics that you would like to lead a conversation around! Activation Floor: Engage with a wide and nutritious offering of intimate participatory activities including workshops on Breathwork techniques, Meditation for Psychedelics, Cacao Ceremonies, integration circles, ecstatic dance, speed dating and befriending, soundbaths and more. And an amazzzzzing AFTERPARTY on Saturday night to close it out! More speakers, community leaders and organizations are joining the roster every day; we will soon be in a position to announce the full schedule and programming. By attending and/or helping spread the word, you will support BPS in our biggest and boldest step thus far, as well as support the resiliency of the east-coast psychedelic community.
