An old friend of the Series, award-winning violinist, Tasmin Little will take the stage with accompanist John Lenehan. Having just recorded three Brahms Sonatas for Chandos, for whom she records exclusively, Tasmin and John will perform the beautiful No. 2 in A Major, along with works by Beethoven, Clara Schumann, Delius and Grieg. "Little can justly be regarded as Britain's finest violinist" (The Independent) and she has also firmly established herself as one of today’s leading international violinists. She has performed on every continent in some of the most prestigious venues of the world. In 2016, Tasmin was awarded Honorary Membership of the Royal Academy of Music (Hon RAM) by the Academy and the University of London and is the recipient of the Gold Badge Award for Services to Music. In 2012, Tasmin was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for Services to Music. Equally at home as soloist as in concert with other musicians, Gramophone suggests that "Lenehan's playing is of a special integrity and musicianship". We look forward to their partnership.
