ChocoSol Traders is a Toronto-based Social Enterprise and Learning Community making artisanal dark chocolate from whole food ingredients. Winner of Toronto's Best Chocolate 2 years running by NOW Magazine!
Join ChocoSol for an intimate exploration into traditional chocolate making techniques rooted in Indigenous Mesoamerican traditions: stone ground using metate y mano. We will also be making and drinking xocolatl (Mayan drinking chocolate). ChocoSol’s Founder Michael Sacco will be speaking about his PhD research into the teachings of cacao and the spiritual ecology of forest gardens. Come participate in an intercultural ChocoSol experience through the art and practice of chocolate-making.Your ticket will include access to our Spring Equinox Celebration & Open House taking place right after the workshop (6 - 11 PM). Please stay and enjoy eating chocolate bites, drinking chocolate, and savoury maize-based food made fresh in our Maize Kitchen.
