As the live stream starts at 3:30 PM, tickets for the live stream will close at 3 PM. All registered attendees will receive the stream link and details via email shortly after ticket sales close! During the conference, you will have the opportunity to listen to world-renowned UofM and Ann Arbor members who are immensely successful in their fields. They will share their "ideas worth spreading" in their TEDxUofM talks and you have the opportunity after the conference to potentially meet or network with them. There will also be lab activities before and during intermission that you will interact with. In the past, we have had activities such as a Partnership Lab between Google and TEDxUofM, where attendees had the opportunity to try Google's Cardboard VR headsets, and another year, we had a lab where attendees got to make their own perfume scents. TEDxUofM’s 15th annual TED Talk conference is all about the theme “Golden Ratio”. First discovered in 300 BCE, the golden ratio has been a mathematical distillation of beauty for centuries. Not only has it been embraced by artists, appearing in famous works like the Mona Lisa and Parthenon, the golden radio has been ever-present in the natural world, from the smallest flower to the largest spiral galaxy. Our speakers’ talks will encourage our audience to slow down and see the inherent splendor around them amidst a modern, fast-paced world. With our first speaker headliner confirmed for the year, TEDxUofM is curating a lineup of thought leaders committed to sparking game-changing conversations. About TEDxUofM TEDxUofM is a university-wide initiative to galvanize the Ann Arbor and University of Michigan community for an event like no other - filled with inspiration, discovery, and excitement. TEDxUofM brings the TED experience to the University of Michigan by upholding their mission of, “ideas worth spreading." Our vision is to showcase the most fascinating thinkers and doers, the “leaders and best”, for an energizing day of discussion, entertainment, and art that will spark new ideas and opportunities across all disciplines. Before the TED Talk Conference You must purchase a ticket online prior to the event; tickets will not be sold at the door on the day of the event. Only 1,400 tickets are limited. Tickets are non-refundable. Smartphone users can simply show the Universe ticket purchase confirmation email at the door. iPhone users also have the option to add the ticket directly to their Apple Wallet, which can be scanned by a TEDxUofM member for entry to the conference. Printed copies of the Universe ticket purchase confirmation email can also be scanned to gain entry to the conference. NO STRICT FOOD, BAGS, OR DRINKS POLICY in accordance with Power Center regulations. Parking There are many parking options near the Power Center, but finding a spot the evening of may be difficult. We suggest using one of the visitor lots located at 324 Maynard, 200 Fletcher, or 300 S. Thayer. Questions?
