TEDxYouth@Granville will be enlightening the minds of tomorrow with the conversation of stories, memories, and pivotal moments as it hold its second annual conference at the Goldcorp Stage at the BMO Theatre Centre on Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 9am to 4pm. The conference will be bringing together a diverse group of youth to foster the spread and application of wonderful, local ideas.TEDxYouth@Granville’s theme this year, “Focus,” invites speakers, performers, volunteers, and attendees to look back in their past and capture a moment in time worth sharing and remembering. From Nicole Ticea’s story of dedication and commitment that propelled her to develop a disposable and electricity-free HIV testing device, to Danny Ramadan’s story on how he centred in on his passions for activism and journalism as a Queer Syrian refugee, TEDxYouth@Granville is an opportunity for youth to be inspired to create tomorrow’s building blocks of change.After hosting a sold-out event last year, TEDxYouth@Granville is expanding so that you and your friends and family can be a part of the conversation. Run entirely by a group of local high school students, the conference is truly made for youth, by youth.Individual tickets are $30CAD, and a discounted rate of $100 is available for groups of four. Ticket cost includes lunch, snacks and a goodie bag.
