Targeted towards creative job-seekers who are at an impasse in their professional lives, this workshop will focus on identifying each person's individual strengths and aptitudes to determine what an ideal career would look like. This session is based on the idea that a life of happiness and true purpose comes from doing meaningful work that is aligned with one's talents and natural abilities. Led by two award-winning career counselors and a top-ranked professional resume writer, each participant will receive individualized attention and support in identifying their innate abilities as well as the areas that they should develop. Topics of the workshop will include:Strengths Assessment: Each of us brings our own unique background, talents, innate abilities and untapped passions to our job search. About the Workshop Facilitators:Andrea Gerson is a top-ranked Resume Writer and Career Counselor, with over seven years of experience working with professionals at all stages of their careers. Andrea has provided expert guidance and support to more than 3,000 clients from leading corporations including Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Intel, Bloomberg, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan Chase, as well as clients from renowned organizations including the United Nations, The Red Cross and Obama for America. Andrea earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Columbia University and completed her Master’s degree in Social Work at NYU. She has extensive experience leading employment seminars at multiple New York City nonprofit organizations and public agencies and has led popular workshops on topics including interview strategies, job search methods, resume development and career planning.Megan Leatherman is a Human Resources Consultant and Career Coach who has worked extensively with professionals seeking to make changes in their careers. Megan is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and is passionate about making the workplace more human-friendly. Her workshops on work-life integration have inspired dozens of participants to change the way that they relate to their work. Megan earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Seattle Pacific University and her Master's degree in Conflict and Dispute Resolution from the University of Oregon. She currently coaches individuals who are seeking to build a career that is in better alignment with their gifts, feels more authentic, and is nourishing to their soul.
