Description
A 1 ½ hour express journey along the coast.
Experience a stunning scenic ride along the sea with panoramic views of the Dunedin Harbour and Otago's rugged coastline.
Seating and Group Bookings
Seating is General Admission but carriages may be allocated to improve your boarding/disembarking experience.
We recommend arriving early to find preferred seating together.
Private carriages may be available on request if you have a group of 30+ passengers.
Food and Beverage
Please note that there is no Café onboard this service. You are welcome to bring your own snacks but please no hot food or hot drinks. For more information, please refer to our Terms & Conditions.
LOCAL tickets
Proof of Dunedin city residency will be required at check-in (i.e. A computer-generated bill or statement that is not more than two months old and clearly shows your name and full residential address).
No proof, no boarding pass.

All tickets are sold as return fare, include GST and are subject to Terms & Conditions.
No disembarking permitted along the journey or during the operational stop in Waitati.
We have limited storage space onboard. If you wish to travel with a bike or other large items, please email our team to request storage space at least 72 hours before your preferred train trip begins.
