A man is found dead in a graveyard. No, this is not a joke. He was murdered at the Westminster Burying Grounds and found at the grave of Edgar Allan Poe!… Or so the story goes.
In April 2019, the Lord Baltimore Hotel is exploring the all too real history and legends of Baltimore with one of its greatest adopted sons – Edgar Allan Poe. One night only at the Lord Baltimore Hotel (a historically haunted hotel in itself) of a murder mystery. Guests will explore the mysterious death of Edgar Allan Poe and what may have caused it. "Have you ever been to a Murder Mystery Dinner," asks host Vince Wilson? "Although very entertaining, you have never seen one like this. You really will be looking for clues, and you might just be getting supernatural help!"Included is the chance to win a free weekend on another mystery weekend while you play the role of "paranormal detective". "Talk to ghosts, solve a murder, and have a good time is our tagline," adds Wilson. "This will be like nothing you have done before."
There will be a ghost hunt, a murder mystery investigation, and an examination of Poe's unusual end. The group will also study other legends and Baltimore stories such as the creation of the Ouija Board (it happened in Baltimore), the infamous Poe Toaster and Baltimore's s myriad of ghost stories, and the hauntings of the Lord Baltimore Hotel itself.
