On the eve of his album release, the GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to welcome GRAMMY-winning artist Sean Paul for an intimate conversation discussing his new album Scorcha, his impressive career, and his creative process. Jamaican dancehall singer, producer, and philanthropist Sean Paul broke into the global mainstream in the early 2000s doing what he loves, dancehall. With his ability to fuse pop-friendly sounds with his authentic dancehall style and unique voice, Sean Paul would become a household name. In the early 2000s dancehall pop-fused party jams like "Get Busy" from his GRAMMY-winning Dutty Rock album, plus the chart-topping smash "Temperature", along with guest appearances on mega-hits like Beyonce’s “Baby Boy" would propel Sean Paul's career on a global level. Across seven studio albums and counting, Sean Paul has taken the genre global, from its origin in clubs in Kingston, Jamaica to the top of the charts, packing some of the biggest venues in more than 120 countries. Only Sean has the distinction of being the first Jamaican to play shows in Kazakhstan and Madagascar. Paul has made a resurgence with a new generation of fans through high-profile collaborations with artists like Sia, Dua Lipa, Clean Bandit, and Pharrell Williams. His 8th studio album, Scorcha, will be released May 27.
